“Fair play in terms of finances”: Jabu Mahlangu angers Sundowns fans

Former Kaizer Chiefs dribbling magician Jabu Mahlangu was ridiculed on social media for suggesting that Mamelodi Sundowns are dominating the Premier Soccer League (PSL) due to their financial advantage.

Jabu Mahlangu, a former soccer player for Orlando Pirates, stated in a social media post that Mamelodi Sundowns IS ruining the quality of local football and that something must be done to stop the squad.

Mahlangu states in the video, “Personally, I find it difficult to watch PSL [Premier Soccer League] matches because the level of play has dropped drastically.”

“We proposed the subject of financial fair play in the league, and we understand that fans want their teams to win all the time, but the current situation is destroying our national team. There must be action taken.

“Check the non-participating players, like as [Lesedi] Kapinga, [Mosa] Lebusa, and [Rivaldo] Coetzee, who are sitting in the stands. The list is exhaustive. All of our best players are on the same team, but none of them are playing. Therefore, action is required because [Sundowns] are ruining [local football].”

“I am a Downs supporter, but I still believe the addition of Terence Mashego was unwarranted. I also believe that Kutumela and Motupa should not be released alongside Zungu.”

@LawMan XXI:

“Player amassing…

Even more loaned players are ineligible to play against Sundowns; the PSL must find a way to deal with this for the good of the national team and to improve the local game. I am aware that most will criticize Jabu, yet he has a valid point.”

@TorresJanuary4:

How then do you anticipate the league to remain competitive?

@metswalleyaka:

“Well said Jabu. Next time, tell Bobby and his brother KaizerJr. the truth about not purchasing quality players and that relying on free agents while being termed a “big team” is foolish.”
